Luna Abadía is from the USA (North America) and is an active committee member of the Youth Fund Committee. She wants to apply her language skills (trilingual), her international experience and her focus on diversity and equity to bring about tangible change in climate action. For your information Luna is the Founder and Executive Director of the Effective Climate Action Project, a youth-led organization with a mission to advance systemic climate solutions. She has been an ambassador for Climate Interactive, and has led climate education workshops attended by hundreds of people around the world. Educationally, Luna is pursuing the International Baccalaureate Diploma and is in her 12th year of the Spanish Immersion Program. She also spent a year abroad in Japan as an ambassador for the Rotary Youth Exchange, where she represented the United States and was a national finalist in the JAFIE National Japanese Speech Contest for high school students in Japan with her speech on climate change. Luna didn't stop there as she was selected to serve on Plan International USA's National Youth Advisory Council as a leading youth climate advocate. As recognition, Luna received the T-Mobile National Changemaker Award, the Green Difference Climate Education and Action Award, the Ashoka STEM for Changemaking Challenge National Award, and the United States President's Environmental Youth Award.
