Luna Abadía is a trilingual, globally-minded youth leader. She is passionate about climate action and seeks to use her language skills, international experience, and focus on diversity and equity to make tangible change on this critical issue. Luna is the Founder and Executive Director of the Effective Climate Action Project, a youth-run organization with the mission to promote systemic climate solutions. As an ambassador for Climate Interactive, she has led climate education workshops engaging hundreds worldwide. Luna is pursuing the International Baccalaureate Diploma and is in her 12th year of the Spanish Immersion Program. She spent a year abroad in Japan as a Rotary Youth Exchange Ambassador, where she represented the US and was a national finalist for the JAFIE National Japanese Speech Contest for high school students in Japan with her speech on climate change. Luna was selected to be on Plan International USA's National Youth Advisory Board as their primary climate youth advocate. Luna has been awarded the T-Mobile National Changemaker Award, the Green Difference Climate Education and Action Award, the Ashoka STEM for Changemaking Challenge National Award, and the United States President's Environmental Youth Award.

Luna Abadía is from the USA (North America) and is an active committee member of the Youth Fund Committee.
