Mary Jane Enchill is the Deputy Chief Executive Officer and Head of Communications at HATOF Foundation, Communications Specialist for Ghana’s National Adaptation Plan Project, Assistant Country Coordinator at Climate Action Network-Ghana, and a Freelance Journalist. She is a trained journalist and environmentalist with 12 years of experience in environmental management, communication, and climate change policy processes. Her expertise in climate finance architecture spans the Global Environment Facility, the Green Climate Fund, and the Climate Investment Funds. Being the Focal Point of the HATOF Foundation of the GCF and a member of the GEF CSO Network, she is versed in the financial mechanisms and their procedures. Ms. Enchill served as an Honorary Jury member of the GCF Green Champions Awards. She also has substantial experience in intergovernmental processes spanning the CBD, UNCCD, and UNFCCC. Currently, Mary Jane is the National Coordinator of the Global Youth Biodiversity Network-Ghana, a member of the YOUNGO Finance working group, and a member of and rapporteur to the National Designated Authority Technical Advisory Committee of the Green Climate Fund in Ghana. She is also a member of the Africa Youth Initiative on Climate Change, Commonwealth Youth Climate Change Network, and the Global Youth Caucus on Degradation and Land. Mary Jane has served as a speaker, moderator and discussant in national and international conferences. She also supported Ghana's NDC, National Communications, and Biennial Update Reports development. Additionally, Ms. Enchill undertakes training, capacity building and consultancy services for Ministries, Departments and Agencies, and International Agencies in environment and climate finance related activities. She holds a Master's Degree in Environmental Management and Policy, and Bachelor's Degree in Communication Studies.
